I got the job I wanted; I will be able to work at home W/BENEFITS! I have an expense account ... Thank you so much for your resume. Not just your resume, your resume writing class. In this class I learned not to down play what I do. Also, you taught me how to really answer questions! Not just say whatever and hope someone just gets it.
This helped me so much because a lot of the companies wanted me to completely answer a lot of questions. With your process I was able to give a well thought out answer that was more than one sentence. I thought in the beginning that you were pricey. But you have truly been priceless, your process is wonderful. I will use your services whenever I need a job.
Also, I will get my offer later today (its 4am) I'll let you know if I need to negotiate the offer.
Thanks for all your help. You Rock Wendy.
(FYI: I interviewed with 3 companies and had three offers. I turned two down.)
Tamika Williams, Mortgage Originator
Note: Tamika got her offer - and with salary negotiations coaching, doubled her base.
I wanted to drop you a note to let you know how helpful you have been in my entire career search. I can tell you this this process works and it works well! Your Legend program helped me narrow down what I wanted to do, got me in the door to talk to people, and finally, get a good feel for my marketability and worth. This led me to accepting the position I desired most, at the price I wanted to get paid or was worth, all at the level I wanted. The position I negotiated was a Commercial Lending position at the Assistant Vice President level at a regional bank in town with a 35-40% bump in base pay. The opportunity that presented itself will also allow me to make VP in a year-and-a-half, receive stock options, and be eligible for a company car. Now that's results.
Thanks again. I will send anyone I know your way. I think this is the only way to go and with all the compliments I received and networking I did, it only confirms that this is how people get ahead in their professional careers. Steve Y., V.P. Commercial Lending
People ask me, “Why did you choose a career coach in Wisconsin when you live in Boston?” I tell them that by net-surfing, I found your name and when we spoke for the first time, I knew we connected, and you were the one I needed to help me find my way.
Well, it’s one week since I completed your three-month program, and I have a job. I’m working part time, from my home, with people I know (high comfort zone), in an area helping people (as we identified), still able to do sports (my passion I won’t give up). I’m Executive Director for a nonprofit organization helping women who are widowed around the globe.
You gave me the confidence and boost I needed. You created a drop-dead resume that accentuates my experience and puts everything I've done in a positive light. Most of all, you made me laugh, you made me think, and you gave me the strength and confidence to take what I have and market myself, and get what I want. I'll recommend you anytime to anyone.
Beth N., Executive Director
Calling from L.A. Wanted to give you word. It was a long interview process, but I got a position with (a large pharmaceutical company). Worked out really well. My territory is going to be Beverly Hills. Company car, good bennies, decent salary, good bonus. Since I’m switching industries, I followed your negotiating process. Long term, it’s good. It’s a really good company. Thank you for your help!
Tim M., Sales
They saw my resume, and even though they were about to hire someone else, they said, “I’ve got to meet her!” I went on the interview and they said, “We love your background. When can you start?” Because of the coaching and the resume, I was able to negotiate a 22% increase in my salary, despite the fact that I completely changed careers!
Robyn P., Technical Writer
I have accepted a full-time position as a Senior Programmer/Analyst. I’m glad you and I talked about what was negotiable because I was able to get another week of vacation over their initial offer. Additionally, they are willing to give me the technical training I need to fulfill the job requirements. This job will provide an excellent work/life balance for my time with my family. Funny, this is the first job I interviewed for!
Kim S., MBA, Senior programmer/analyst
I’m in my training program now and wanted to let you know that I got my offer on the first interview! You were a big shot in the arm for me. The best thing that could have happened to me was being downsized. You helped me realize that and you re-energized me. The company offered a more than $7,000 increase from my previous position. (Your salary negotiation tips were really a big help in this area.) They have full training, benefits and even encourage future growth! Just wanted to call and say THANKS! This position is really my bag!
Sheryl M., RN
After I received the new resume, I was getting callbacks and interviews constantly. When I finally chose a company, I turned down three other offers. I finally picked a great company, one of the Top 10 to work for in Southeastern Wisconsin. I’m happy now and love going to work. I have also been fortunate enough to have my picture and bio in the Business Journal. All of this was possible because I had a great resume. Thank you very much.
Paul V., GIS Technician
It’s less than three weeks after completing your one-month Legend program and I have a job offer! Your program helped me network effectively, which led to a contact at (a major software development firm). I submitted my new, targeted resume to my contact and landed an interview. I used your ROI interviewing techniques, which helped land the offer. I am now a project manager and there is a lot of room for advancement. After being unemployed for 1.5 years before I came to you, I am so happy to be starting my new job next week.
Maxine W., Project Manager
Is it a good sign when the HR person smiles and gives a thumbs-up as he is leaving the room? (Oh, the joys of non-verbal communication.) Thanks for the help and confidence boost (during our interview coaching session). I really hope this is my “next big gig.”
